Dear Joshua:

My name is Amy.  I’m 44 years old and for the last 14 months I’ve been living in a mental institution. I’m here because I’m being treated for severe anxiety and depression.

Sometimes it gets so bad that I think I’m going to end my life.  One thing I really look forward to though is reading your advice column. While most of what you write is pretty upbeat, I was wondering if you could write something special for me.

Perhaps you could tell me an upbeat story that will help rebuild my faith in humanity.

Thanks Joshua.  I love you.
