Dear Joshua:
I’m 74 years old and I used to enjoy going to the movies by myself. Nowadays though, people use their smartphones right inside the theater.
They text, talk, and check their social media stuff right in the middle of the movie. It is so distracting and aggravating!
I’ve complained to the manager about the situation many times, but all they do is tell the people to turn off their cell phones.
That helps for about 5, maybe 10 minutes, but once the manager or usher leaves the auditorium, it starts all over again. The theater lights up like a Christmas tree with all those brightly-lit little screens and I go back to being distracted and annoyed.
I am so sick of this crap. Is it just me, or do people these days have no manners? Please help, I’m going crazy here.
