I am a 34 year old Jewish woman who works with a lot of Christian women. For the most part, these Christians, they seem like really nice people.
Anyway, we often eat lunch together in the company’s cafeteria. When I hear them discussing Jesus Christ and how important it is for everyone, including Jews, to accept him as their Lord and Savior, I become a little disenchanted.
I feel this way because as a Jew, I don’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah.
You seem like a man of great wisdom. What is Christianity to you? I see Christian Churches closing all the time.

You’re a descendent of God’s elect! You are the seed of Abraham, in the ancestry of Isaac, Jacob, and David.
That’s an impressive heritage! Abraham was noted for his unwavering faith, Isaac the Promised Child to Abraham and Sarah, Jacob — originally a deceiver — wrestled with God for His blessing, and David the Apple of God’s Eye.
All of these people had one very important commonality, my Jewish friend; each had a direct, personal relationship with God. Their greatest blessings came as a result of them absolutely, intentionally, and steadfastly pursuing an intimate relationship with the Creator.
That is precisely what Christianity means to me as well… a personal relationship with the One who forgives all my shortcomings.
Now, on the subject of the Christians you dine with in the cafeteria… why do you suppose they are so interested in discussing Jesus and having everyone accept Him as Lord and Savior?

Questions!
You may be asking yourself, “Why talk about this stuff at work, especially in the company of a Jew?” You may consider, “Is He even who they say He is, God’s Son? Is He really the only way to salvation? And IF He is, then why are all these Christian churches closing?”
Those would be very good questions! By any chance… are you curious enough to hear the answers or better yet, ask God for discernment? Someone who has emphatically made up their mind that Jesus in not the Messiah would not ask these important questions. But, someone who genuinely wants to know, will not only ask, but seek answers! For God promises, “Ask and it shall be given. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be open to you.”
The Torah speaks of a coming Messiah. Believe it or not, the messianic prophecies directly point to Yeshua as Messiah. In fact, if you are interested in investigating, below I’ve listed links + the web addresses of those pertinent scriptures for you!
Now, in answer to your second question, “Why are all these Christian churches closing? Is Christianity on its way out?”
The Truth About
Christianity!
There is one indisputable truth about Christianity… Christianity is not about a church building; it’s about a relationship. No building — no matter how impressive — defines, signifies, or replaces a personal, intimate relationship with God.
So, while buildings may close, churches become obsolete, or even crumble to the ground, nothing can replace that individual, confidential, close relationship with the One, True God. And, my dear Jewish friend, only He can reveal Himself to you in such a personal way, that you will know exactly who He is.
From your account, it seems as though Jesus has revealed Himself to your co-workers as their Lord and Savior, and like me, they are so in love with this person we call Jesus that we want to shout it from the rooftops. He has made Himself so real to us that we can’t help but share the Good News.

I often feel that the best messenger of the Good News to a Jew is from a fellow Jew! Jonathan Cahn, Jonathan Bernis, and Sid Roth have incredible testimonies of becoming Messianic Jews, and their relentless desire to bring more Jews to Christ is praiseworthy.
